TSFE, Tanweer for Educational Services agree to develop a fifth school in Cosmic Village

The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) signed a partnership agreement with Tanweer Educational Services Company to develop the fifth school on the land of the 6th of October City’s Cosmic Village.
The partnership comes a few days after the inauguration of four schools within the first phase of the Cosmic Village land development project in partnership between TSFE and the best expertise from the private sector in the field of education.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, who also serves as TSFE's board chairman, said that the project is considered a reflection of the role that the Egyptian state has given to TSFE ‘s arm for Investment and Development.
TSFE exploits the state's untapped assets and maximizes the return on these assets, according to El-Said.
She further stressed that investing in education is the most important way to maximize the return on assets.
El-Said indicated that more partnerships will be concluded and investments will be increased in present partnerships to establish about 100 schools in all Egyptian governorates in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to provide the best educational services at a cost suitable for the middle class.
For his part, Ayman Soliman, CEO of TSFE, stressed the promising investment opportunities provided by the education sector in Egypt.
“(TSFE) seeks to create competitiveness in the education sector while achieving investment returns to reduce the cost and raise the quality of education”. Ayman Soliman, CEO of TSFE explained.
Soliman stressed that the Cosmic Village school complex project is an example to be followed in maximizing the value of state-owned assets by transforming vacant land into an integrated educational complex in partnership with the private sector and specialists in the field of education.
The CEO of the Fund indicated that this successful model will be replicated in various governorates of the Republic, as it contributes to improving the educational services provided, which contributes to investing in human capital and achieving investment returns, which ensures the project's financial sustainability.
Mr. Ihab Rizk, Executive Director of Education, Agriculture and Food Industries Investments at TSFE, stressed that this partnership is a continuation of a vision to establish an integrated educational complex on the land of Cosmic Village with the best expertise from the private sector in this field, such as “Tanweer” Company.
In this school [Fifth school in Cosmic Village], the French curriculum is combined with the Egyptian National Curriculum, which strengthens and emphasizes the variety and diversity of the educational services offered by the educational complex.
For his part, Amr El-Segini, CEO of Tanweer Educational Services, said that the partnership with the TSFE to establish a fifth school on the Cosmic Village land is in line with the company’s expansion plan in the education sector in west and east Cairo and to provide a distinguished service to a wide sector of families in Egypt.
He added that the new school, which will be operational within two years, is an integral part of Tanweer's ambitious plan to reach 30,000 students in the current decade through the establishment of new schools.
With the November start, Egypt’s Prime Minister inaugurated four schools on the grounds of Cosmic Village, namely Regent, Future Tech, WILS, and SILS, in partnership between TSFE, Cairo Investment and Real Estate Development Companies, Mobica Integrated Industries Company, and the Egypt Education Platform.
It is worth noting that ownership of the land of the Cosmic Village has been transferred to TSFE for Investment and Development of Egypt under Presidential Decree No. 459 of 2020. The first phase of the project to develop the land of the Cosmic Village includes establishing 5 schools and a sports club.
