TSFE plans to establish 100 new schools inside Egypt’s Cosmic Village land

H.E. Dr.Hala El-Said, H.E. Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development & Chairperson of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), met with Dr. Hassan Al-Qala, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cairo For Investment And Real Estate Development - CIRA Education (CIRA) to discuss aspects of cooperation between TSFE and CIRA in the education sector.
During the meeting, El-Said said that according to the directives of Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly at the inauguration ceremony of TSFE’s school complex in the Global Village, to expand the establishment of schools in partnership with the private sector, more partnerships and investments will be carried out.
She noted that about 100 schools in all Egyptian governorates will be established in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to provide the best educational services at a reasonable cost.
El-Said explained that the aforementioned plan appeared due to the Egyptian state’s belief in the importance of investing in people, and in the role of education in creating real development in society.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Qala praised the partnership experience with TSFE and those in charge of the Education Sub-Fund. During the meeting, he reviewed the opportunities for expanding the implementation of schools as well as investment in the higher education sector. He also presented a vision that brings together a large number of partners from financing agencies and civil society to contribute to a project to build developed schools in most Egyptian governorates.
The meeting was attended by Kamal Nasr, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Technical Office Affairs, Wael Ziadeh, Assistant Minister for Investment Affairs, Dr. Muhammad El-Okaby, Media Advisor to the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Mohamed Al-Maghrabi, Head of the Human Development Sector, and Ihab Rizk, Executive Director of the Egypt Sub-Fund for Education, Nutrition and Agriculture.
