Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence team, Menoufia governor meet on sidelines of the Award’s awareness seminar in the governorate

The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, in cooperation with the Menoufia Governorate and the presence of representatives of local units and technology centers in the governorate, held an awareness seminar to introduce the award and its various categories in preparation for the fourth session in 2024.
The meeting came within the framework of the award’s keenness to spread the culture of excellence and raise awareness of issues of institutional excellence to consolidate the principles and values of excellence in the state’s sectors to improve the quality of life of the citizens and enhance the leadership and competitiveness of the Egyptian state by Egypt’s Vision 2030.
During the seminar, Ms. Soha Saeed, Executive Director of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, reviewed the various award categories at the institutional and individual levels.
Saeed explained the stages of implementing the award, the activities of its fourth session, which will be launched in January 2024, and the beginning of addressing government agencies at the republic level to receive nominations for the institutional and individual categories of the award by the time frame for the stages of the fourth session.
Soha Saeed referred to the standards on which the government institutional excellence model is based, including the pillar of achieving the vision, which includes Egypt’s Vision 2030, the main tasks, seven-star services, and E/or smart government, in addition to the innovation pillar, which includes anticipating the future and the mechanisms and steps that government institutions mainly follow to develop policies.
Regarding the effective participation of Menoufia Governorate in the Egypt Award for Government Excellence over the previous sessions, Saeed praised the governorate’s achievements and its qualification to win several awards, both in the institutional and individual categories, as the governorate won three awards in the third session 2022.
The seminar also shed light on the Arab Government Excellence Award and the role of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development as the award’s coordinator in the Arab Republic of Egypt, reviewing its various categories and the awards Egypt won during previous sessions, which are currently available to apply for until mid-January 2024 through this online portal/ www.ageaward.com.
On the sidelines of the seminar, the work team met with Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, in the presence of the Director General of the Governor’s Affairs Office and the General Coordinator of the Government Excellence Award in the Governorate.
The Governor appreciated the fruitful cooperation and permanent coordination with the Ministry of Planning towards improving the level of services provided, and the keenness of the management of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to support the state’s efforts to spread a culture of institutional excellence and improve job performance in all sectors in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
