NIGSD launches the official website of Egypt’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, launched the official website of Egypt’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, indicated that Egypt’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a center specialized in supporting the file of entrepreneurship and innovation with a more comprehensive vision.

  She explained that the center works through its vision to become a distinguished center locally, regionally, and internationally in the field of supporting entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation providing best practices in the field of innovation management and promoting the knowledge economy.

Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, explained that the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation represents an integrated center for supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and distinguished practices of sustainable and innovative entrepreneurship in Egypt and MENA.

  The center seeks to empower Egyptian youth as entrepreneurs and create an entrepreneurial mindset that can generate innovative ideas that help achieve the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which intersects with the UN SDGs.

  The center also aims to achieve coordination and support among actors in the entrepreneurship environment in Egypt in a way that improves the services necessary for entrepreneurs and encourages emerging companies to start their businesses.

For her part, Dr. Heba Zaki, Director of the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, asserted that the Center is working to implement its goals through five main programs: awareness and education programs for entrepreneurship and innovation, the Sustainable Innovation Laboratory Program, and the Egypt Observatory for Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Innovation.
