Egypt’s Planning Minister appoints Nihad Morsi as her assistant Infrastructure Affairs

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development issued a decision appointing Eng. Nihad Morsi, Assistant Minister for Infrastructure Affairs.
El-Said asserted that the Ministry of Planning is always keen to benefit from distinguished competencies and cadres who have effective and influential roles in the field of work.
She pointed out the importance of relying on cadres who have sufficient experience to lead the work to raise the efficiency of performance and achieve the best levels of work.
For her part, Nihad Morsi, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Infrastructure Affairs, expressed her gratitude for this trust, pledging to continue working to serve the nation.
The tasks of the Assistant Minister of Planning for Infrastructure Affairs include participating in setting the general strategy for infrastructure projects in the Ministry, proposing and following up on the implementation of work plans and policies for infrastructure projects, in addition to preparing all economic variables for infrastructure projects and studying and proposing mechanisms for developing those projects.
The tasks also include following up on the implementation of the plan’s investments and its in-kind achievements in light of economic changes by the approved executive programs and studying and evaluating the best ways to exploit untapped resources in infrastructure investment projects.
Nihad Morsi holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and worked as Head of the Infrastructure and Service Activities Sector at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
Nihad Morsy has more than 28 years of experience working with international organizations. She also has extensive experience in the field of infrastructure and worked as an implementation and operation consultant at the World Bank. She also worked as an operations and infrastructure consultant at the International Finance Corporation.
