Egypt’s Planning Minister, Kuwait's API Director discuss ways to enhance cooperation

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development who is also acting as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Institute of National Planning (INP), met recently with Dr. Abdullah Fahd Al-Shami, Director General of the Arab Planning Institute (API) in the State of Kuwait.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Dr. Ashraf Al-Arabi, President of the Institute of National Planning (INP), Mr. Karim Darwish, Head of the Administrative Service of the Arab Planning Institute in the State of Kuwait, Ambassador Hazem Khairat, Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), Dr. Khaled. Zakaria, Advisor to the Minister for Policies and Structural Reforms.
El-Said explained that the meeting came to strengthen cooperation between the two institutes and exchange the experiences and capabilities of each to support various research, training, and community activities, deepening cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two institutions.
During the meeting, El-Said asserted that the strategy of the Institute of National Planning (INP) included expanding and diversifying the competitive advisory services it provides to governmental, private, civil, and international agencies as well as strengthening INP ‘s presence nationally, regionally, and internationally.
El-Said also pointed out the development of NIGSD’s human and material resources, in addition to strengthening institutional and technological frameworks, to enhance financial sustainability, quality, governance, and community service activities.
She further expressed her aspiration for more cooperation in the field of preparing research and providing advisory services and institutional support.
