The Minister of Planning and Economic Development inaugurates several development and service projects in Suez governorate

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, went on a field visit to the Suez Governorate to open and inspect several development and service projects in several sectors, within the framework of the Suez Governorate’s celebration Golden Jubilee since the victories of the glorious October War.
The visit witnessed the presence of Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, and Major General Staff Abdel Majeed Saqr, Governor of Suez.
During her speech, El-Said congratulated the city of Suez on the occasion of the city’s National Day, stressing the state’s interest in the last nine years in development plans at the governorate level due to its strong belief that real development is what occurs on the ground and at the level of each governorate.
El-Said said that investments have increased to currently reach a rate of EGP 2.5 billion self-financing, in addition to development payments and additional enhancement over the years by the requirements of the governorates, which is done in partnership with the Minister of Local Development.
El-Said added that it is not only the investment plan that has increased by 10-fold but also the level of central projects that are coordinated with various ministries such as the ministries of health, education, water resources, and irrigation.
El-Said stressed the state’s keenness to provide resources in light of priorities while providing all requirements as much as possible and services needed by citizens in the different governorates within the limits of available capabilities and resources.
El-Said referred to the boom that services are currently witnessing in the Suez Governorate, most notably the services of the medical complex and the increase in the number of classrooms and schools, in addition to projects for lining and developing canals and the development witnessed in roads and services.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development’s tour included an inspection of the technology center in the governorate’s general office, the land of the Misr Services Center, the Zarb 1 and 2 sewage station, in addition to an inspection of the Nasser Balmalha housing, and the canal development work, the Lux and Gharib housing, the 24th of October City and the cultural market.
During her tour, Dr. Hala El-Said also inaugurated the work of replacing and renovating the Al-Herafiyen sewage pumping station.
She also inspected the cities of Al-Safa and Al-Marwa, and the cities of Al-Tawfiqiyah A, Al-Rehab, and Al-Firdaws, in addition to inspecting the entertainment district in the governorate.
