Planning Ministry Delegation visits to follow up on the implementation of the investment plan projects

A delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, headed by Dr. Heba Mogheib, Head of the Ministry’s Regional Planning Sector, visited Damietta Governorate to follow up on the governorates’ plans and several projects.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed the Ministry’s keenness on the follow-up process, as the matter is not limited to setting plans only, but also with the necessity of following them up to determine the executive position of each governorate towards the investment plan and achieving the projects included in it.
El-Said pointed out the Ministry’s keenness to contribute to overcoming the obstacles facing the implementation of these projects, to improve the citizen’s standard of living.
For her part, Dr. Heba Mogheib explained that the visit came to review what has been accomplished, to know the obstacles facing the implementation of projects, and to work on solving them to make optimal use of the investments of the investment plan.
Mogheib added that the projects that were followed up included projects to protect beaches, prepare for rain and floods, road paving, electricity and various lighting works in the centers and cities of the governorate, the Nile Corniche development project, projects to establish and develop parking lots, local units and information centers.
The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development met with Major General Raafat Hammam, Secretary General of the Governorate, and its officials.
The delegation witnessed the participation of Professor Muhammad Rashad Muhammad, General Director of Provincial Plan Preparation, Professor Hisham Ramadan Gad, a researcher in the sector, and Professor Amal Abdel Rahman, a researcher in the national plan preparation sector.
