The National Initiative for Green Smart Projects announces the results of the winning projects in the second round at the governorate level

The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects announced that the governorates of the Republic have begun announcing the results of the evaluation phase of projects participating in the second session, after the end of the evaluation period, which took place during this September.
This period resulted in the selection of qualified projects, with one project for each category, with a total number of 6 projects for each governorate.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, appreciated the efforts made and the fruitful cooperation of all concerned parties to reach this stage of the initiative.
El-Said indicated that the national initiative for smart green projects was launched under the auspices of the President of the Republic and by a decision of the Prime Minister.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development also thanked the Minister of Local Development and all governors for their cooperation and efforts since the launch of the second session of the initiative until the announcement of the winners.
He noted that this cooperation is what distinguishes this national initiative, which is carried out with the combined efforts of all concerned parties.
El-Said referred to the diversity of projects participating in the second round of the initiative, and the solutions these projects provide that help adapt to climate change.
For his part, Ambassador Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister of Planning for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence, and Initiatives, and General Coordinator of the Initiative.
He explained that the current stage is the stage of harvesting the efforts made by the National Initiative in cooperation with the governorates.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the winning projects were announced in Sharkia, Dakahlia, and Damietta governorates, at a conference held in Sharkia Governorate in the presence of the governors, where the winning projects were honored, which represent the three governorates and cover various fields, including sustainable agriculture, irrigation, waste management, energy, and smart cities.
The winning projects in the governorates of Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan are scheduled to be announced on Sunday, October 1, 2023, and the winning projects in the Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia governorates on Monday, October 2, and in North and South Sinai on Wednesday, October 4.
