Egypt’s Planning Ministry, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif discuss enhancing cooperation in both the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects & Egypt Award for Government Excellence

 Ambassador Hisham Badr, Chief Coordinator of the National Smart Green Project Initiative, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, and Chief Inspector of the Egyptian Government Excellence Award met with His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders to discuss ways to collaborate on the initiative and award.  

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Hisham Badr congratulated His Eminence, the Grand Imam, for the sheikhdom of Al-Azhar and Al-Azhar University for the advanced positions of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence in its last session, especially the first and third positions in the areas of women's empowerment.

  The parties also discussed ways to improve Al-Azhar's cooperation in the National Smart Green Project Initiative. 

 

 

 Ambassador Hisham Badr expressed his happiness for meeting Sheikh Al-Azhar and thanked him for his great efforts to spread the culture of tolerance, coexistence, and human brotherhood. 

 

 

 

 At the meeting, Ambassador Hisham Badr also discussed the details of the national initiative, which aims to involve all segments of society in environmental projects serving the process of sustainable development and covers 6 categories, including small, medium, large projects, and start-up projects.

  Badr explained that the goal of the initiative is to create Egyptian solutions from various governorates that could be applied to solve environmental crises and climate change problems, and indicated ways to increase the participation of Al-Azhar University students in the different classes of the initiative. 

 

 

 

 

 For his part, His Eminence the Grand Imam said that Al-Azhar is actively trying to participate in various national and regional activities and competitions, offering all Al-Azhar officials in various fields the opportunity to join training and qualification courses that will help them develop their skills and improve their competence in their field of work.
