The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development receives a high-ranking Japanese delegation to discuss the results of cooperation projects

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development received a high-ranking delegation from the Japanese government to discuss the results of cooperation projects that have been implemented with the ministry and get acquainted with its latest initiatives, as well as discuss future cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the attendees affirmed the depth of the historical cooperation relations between the two countries and the joint coordination, and the aspiration to benefit from the Japanese experience in all different sectors through the implementation of more joint projects and the increase of Japanese investments in Egypt.
Moreover, officials of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development reviewed the tasks of the ministry's work, its specializations, and its initiatives in the recent period, and what it aspires to do at the national level, as well as joint projects with various international bodies.
The Ministry's efforts to implement the sustainable development plan, Egypt's Vision 2030, green economy initiatives, and other national initiatives were also reviewed.
It also referred to how to develop long, short, and medium-term plans in Egypt, the stages of developing the plan, the considerations and priorities that are taken into account, and the process of following up on projects that take place throughout the year.
For his part, the Japanese delegation expressed its happiness at holding the meeting, as it is an opportunity to get acquainted closely with the work programs and projects of the Ministry, especially the joint projects that were implemented in partnership with Japan, and the future vision of the Ministry for cooperation with Japan, and the sectors that need to be focused on.
The Japanese delegation also introduced the priorities of the Japanese development cooperation policy with Egypt, namely: promoting sustainable economic growth and social integration, developing education, developing human resources, and regional cooperation, which are priorities that are consistent with the orientation and vision of the Egyptian state at the current stage.
