NIGSD concludes the activities of 2nd batch of the training program "Innovative Governance in the Digital Age" in partnership with Thunderbird School of Global Management

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development - concluded the activities of the second batch of the "Innovative Governance in the Digital Age" training program, in partnership with the Thunderbird School of Global Management affiliated with the state of Arizona, at the college's headquarters in Washington, DC.
Dr. Sherifa Sharif, Executive Director of the NIGSD indicated that the training program worked on enhancing the capabilities and skills of 26 participants from more than 16 government agencies from the state's administrative apparatus, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and other ministries.
The training program included various themes related to flexible governance, digital transformation, mechanization of government administration, and mechanisms for creating sustainable economic systems, in addition to competitiveness and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
The program also included a review of the challenges and opportunities facing the state's administrative apparatus in the digital age.
The training program was also distinguished by focusing on the practical and applied aspects, by conducting field visits to the most important international institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the US Congress, The Brookings Institution, and the African Union mission to the United States.
The program also included training courses and workshops in an interactive and practical manner.
