Ambassador Hisham Badr, Ismailia Governor meet to discuss the governorate projects participating in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects 2nd round

Ambassador Hisham Badr, the general coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects met recently with Major General Staff Sherif Fahmy Bishara, Governor of Ismailia, to discuss the projects participating in the second round of the initiative in Ismailia Governorate.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Eng. Ahmed Essam El-Din, Deputy Governor of Ismailia and General Secretary of the governorate, and the initiative team from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hisham Badr pointed out the importance of the initiative as an unprecedented model globally, as it provides solutions to environmental problems emanating from the governorates and villages of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Badr stressed that the purpose of this initiative is to find real solutions on the ground, in addition to the ability of the initiative to create a spirit of competition between governorates, projects, as well as various fields concerned with preserving the environment.
He explained that the initiative works to consolidate the culture of competitiveness in its various aspects, which is reflected through the remarkable development in the quality of projects in the second round of the initiative, which reflects the impact of the initiative in changing the thinking pattern of the Egyptian citizen by opening the door to participation for all citizens.
Badr added that all projects in the initiative work to achieve all evaluation criteria, which include the green component, the smart component, the ability of the project to provide income, in addition to the impact of the project on society and the environment, and its ability to expand, with the possibility of its application in different places and governorates.
Badr referred to the competition of the 27 Egyptian governorates to present the best projects to represent them at the national and regional levels.
For his part, Major General Ismailia Governorate referred to the efforts of the governorate in the initiative since its first session in 2022.
The Governor of Ismailia added that the governorate was keen to urge the executive authorities to participate in the initiative with several projects, by holding introductory meetings, seminars, and training programs that roam all over the governorate.
