16 August 2023

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has issued recently a statement on the number of transactions at Egypt's Mobile Service Centers in various governorates.

These centers provide documentation, power of attorney, civil status, and other services in cooperation with the Ministries of Justice and Interior.

H.E.Dr.Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed that the Ministry is keen to continue launching these centers across all governorates in Egypt, especially coastal cities during the summer when citizens are in resorts. This will help reduce the pressure on fixed documentation and civil status offices and contribute to facilitating government services for citizens through fast and distinguished service.

Engineer Ashraf Abdel Hafez, Assistant Minister of Planning for Digital Transformation, explained that the objective of the mobile centers is to provide citizens with the necessary services with the least effort, cost, and highest quality.

The Ministry’s statement reviewed the number of transactions at Egypt’s Mobile Service Centers during the period from July 20, 2023, to the first week of August. The total civil status transactions at the Ministry of Interior’s civil status sector centers reached 4,106 transactions, while the mobile centers affiliated with the Ministry of Justice and specialized in real estate and documentation recorded a total of 860 transactions.

Of these, 389 transactions were conducted on the coast cities, 93 transactions were conducted in Port Said, 122 transactions were conducted in Baltim, 116 transactions were conducted in Ras El Bar, and 140 transactions were conducted in Gimaza. This brings the total number of transactions at the Ministry of Interior and Justice centers in these areas to approximately 5,000 transactions.
