During the meeting, Ambassador Hisham Badr emphasized the initiative's ability to create a spirit of competitiveness between governorates and projects. He also emphasized the various fields concerned with the environment.

Badr explained that the initiative consolidates competitive culture in its various aspects. This is reflected in the remarkable improvement in the quality of projects in the second round of the initiative.

He added that this reflects the impact of the initiative on changing the Egyptian citizen's thinking patterns by opening the door to participation for all citizens. In addition, the initiative created a database for the initiative, which facilitates access to investors and financiers.

Badr added that all projects in the initiative work to achieve all evaluation criteria, which include the green component, the smart component, the ability of the project to provide income, in addition to the impact of the project on society and the environment, and its ability to expand, with the possibility of its application in different places and governorates.

Badr also referred to the competition between the 27 Egyptian governorates to present the most innovative projects to represent them at the national and regional levels.

Badr stressed the need for cooperation between the two institutions to promote the initiative and access the necessary funding. In addition, he stressed the need for cooperation to spread awareness and define competitive principles to ensure the quality of services and projects at the level of the Republic.

For his part, Saif Allah Fahmy, head of the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council expressed the council's readiness to support the initiative. He provided consultations aimed at identifying policies, procedures, and factors that contribute to enhancing and supporting Egypt's overall competitiveness.

Fahmy touched on ways to support the initiative within the framework of the agreement on cooperation between the two institutions, and for the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council to promote the initiative by urging the relevant parties to participate in their projects, and to provide opportunities for financing the winning projects through the council’s strategic partners.
