NIGSD, Central Auditing Organization to cooperate in Human Capacity Development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Central Auditing Organization in the field of Human Capacity Development.
After signing the MoU, Dr. Sherifa Sherif referred to the establishment of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development. She also referred to its role in spreading awareness of various issues, especially governance, sectoral governance, and digital transformation. This is done through the various training programs it offers.
Sherif talked about the objectives of applying effective governance represented by transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to citizens and law enforcement. She also talked about the role of the Institute in raising awareness and training on good governance in various government institutions.
Sherif stressed the importance of linking governance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She pointed to the institute's role in monitoring Egypt's position in the various indicators of governance, number 22, and the mechanisms for raising Egypt's status in these indicators.
The areas of cooperation between the institute and the agency, according to the memorandum of understanding, include the development and development of human capabilities and advisory services. To achieve the objectives of the memorandum, the two parties will undertake several activities, including holding seminars, courses, training programs, and workshops.
Counselor Muhammad Al-Faisal Youssef, Vice President of the Agency, also met with Dr. Sharifa Sharif and her accompanying delegation after the signing. The meeting dealt with discussing coordination mechanisms toward putting the memorandum of understanding into practice.
