The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the ministry - announced the start of the first level training for the third group of the "Be an Ambassador" initiative. The third group of the initiative started at the introductory level, whose activities will continue until June 19 on the institute's training platform "Estidama" estedama.gov.eg
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development emphasized the importance of the role of youth in achieving the goals of the sustainable development strategy Egypt’s Vision 2030 through active participation, building youth capabilities and enhancing their role in achieving sustainable development applications.

El-Said notes that Egypt’s Vision 2030 broadly targets young people, stressing that the spread of development thinking, foundations and concepts of sustainable development among youth comes as an urgent need in light of the developments that the world is experiencing.
For her part, Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, indicated that the number of trainees in the third group reaches 196 trainees of different ages (18-35 years) of students, graduates, researchers, private and government sector employees, representatives of the student union, and volunteers. 
Sherif added that the third group trainees represent the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Sohag, Damietta, Aswan, Alexandria, Suez, Menoufia, Matrouh, Sharkia, Dakahlia, Qalyubia, Beni Suef, Gharbia, New Valley, Minya, Luxor, South Sinai, Qena, and Port Said. , Kafr El-Sheikh, and North Sinai.
The introductory level includes a set of programs that include personal skills, which include writing a CV, the art of public speaking, team building, marketing, and self-marketing, in addition to training on time management, emotional intelligence and the art of negotiation, and the introductory level includes training on sustainable development, which includes learning the principles of sustainable development and sustainable finance.
