30 May 2021

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala El-Said met on Sunday Speaker of the Senate Abdel Wahab Abdel Raziq, on the sidelines of the Minister’s attendance at the plenary session of the Council, which was held to approve the draft law on the social and economic plan for the fiscal year 2022/2022, which was approved by the Senate.

During the meeting, El-Said reviewed the most important work files of the Ministry and aspects of cooperation with the Senate.

El-Said also discussed the efforts made by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in the past years to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, in cooperation with all development partners from ministries, government agencies, the private sector, and civil society which came in light of a local, regional and international environment that witnessed - and still is - many challenges intersecting with some economic and development pillars.

El-Said asserted the keenness and pride of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to continue full cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the Council, and the keenness to participate in the sessions of the quality committees.
