NIGSD runs a training program for African state employees

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented in the African Center for Development, and in cooperation with The German Hanns Seidel Foundation held an intense virtual training program entitled "Performance Measurement Indicators towards Effective Governance in Africa," for some African civil servants from Lesotho’s Ministries of Interior, Trade and Industry, Agriculture and Nutrition, Public Work, and Transportation, Communication, science, and technology, along with a number of their Egyptian counterparts.
The Executive Director of NIGSD, Dr. Sherifa Sherif announced that the training program comes within the framework of the Egyptian government's eagerness to effectively contribute to sustainable development efforts on the African continent, and in support of Egyptian efforts to build African cadres who possess the necessary capabilities to achieve the ambitions and agenda of Africa 2063.
For her part, the Director of the Director of the African Development Center and Director of the Training Network for Management Institutes in Africa (Tanmia), Dr. Hanan Rizk stated that the program aims to introduce trainees to the importance of performance measurement indicators, how to manage performance, to define the strategic goals of organizations, and to identify the types of performance measurement indicators and their sources.
The aforementioned program is the 3rd edition of this training after the success it achieved in its first edition. This was offered to local administration employees in 2022 in Arabic and English via the ZOOM platform.
Dr. Abir Morsi, who has training experience for more than 25 years in international companies and higher education institutions, lectured during the training program.
