Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence launches Internal Excellence Award at HCWW

The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence and Holding Company for Water and Waste Water (HCWW) held the launch of the company's Internal Excellence Award and the training of ambassadors of excellence at the level of 25 hotlines for affiliated water companies and 150 customer service centers developed in Egypt.
H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the implementation of the internal awards system in government agencies in the state’s administrative apparatus comes out of the keenness of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence to implement Egypt Vision 2030 goals.
The internal awards also aim to support the state’s efforts to spread and deepen the culture of excellence and institutional development in the various sectors of the country. This ultimately aims to improve the citizens' quality of life and enhance the Egyptian state's leadership and competitiveness.
Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Waste Water (HCWW), referred to the workshop, which includes a selection of the best elements in the field of customer service and the hotline, to take serious steps towards achieving excellence in institutional performance, which is reflected in providing distinguished service to citizens.
He emphasized that the system of developing and upgrading performance rates is one of the goals adopted by the Holding Company to crystallize this year in partnership with the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the Ministry of Planning, to launch the Internal Excellence Award in the areas of customer service and the hotline, which enhances the ability of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries to compete in regional and international awards.
Engineer Mamdouh Raslan referred to the selection of the areas of hotline and customer service, to be the launch of the application of the award, as they are the two main points of contact between the company and the citizen, and a measure to determine the extent of response to complaints and requests from citizens, and a true indicator of the quality of services provided.
During the opening session, Mrs. Soha Saeed, Executive Director of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, explained that launching the internal awards would deepen the culture of excellence in the Holding Company for Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Sanitation and its subsidiaries, which in turn is reflected in improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
Soha Saeed praised the company's initiative to launch the internal excellence awards system. She also praised its full readiness to provide all requirements for the system's application at the level of affiliated entities.
The Holding Company's active participation in Drinking Water and Wastewater over the past three sessions. It has won several awards, both in institutional and individual categories. This is according to Saeed.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Seddik, Director of Government Services Awards, explained that the Internal Excellence Award aims to shed light on successful models and practices, enhance the spirit of innovation and creativity, spread a culture of quality and excellence, encourage competition, build distinguished cadres, and adopt global and international standards in the field of service excellence.
Dr. Salah Bayoumi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Water and Waste Water (HCWW), said that the company is keen to implement this project to identify and develop the current points of excellence, enhance the spirit of innovation and creativity, spread the culture of quality and excellence, and achieve better rates of citizen satisfaction.
