Egypt’s Planning Ministry, National Training Academy discuss cooperation

Dr. Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the National Training Academy received on Thursday Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and her accompanying delegation from the ministry to discuss ways and aspects of cooperation between the Academy and the Ministry in the coming period and to develop an action plan for a set of new training programs.
The discussion touched on several topics, on top of which is the training programs that could be held in the future in cooperation between the two parties at the local level, such as those that will be provided to qualify and empower Egyptian and Arab women and youth, in addition to the programs that can be offered at the international level in Africa and Arab countries.
During the discussion, Ragheb asserted that the academy's training programs are a special Egyptian case specially designed to empower Egyptian citizens in various sectors.
Ragheb indicated that these programs include international experiences that are presented in cooperation with some international institutions, as happens in the Presidential Program for the Qualification of Executives for Leadership, which witnesses cooperation with the National School of Administration in France and the Geneva Center for Security Studies, in addition to the Korean Institute for Human Resources Development and other institutions.
For her part, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development said that the National Training Academy has become the main center for developing the capabilities and building of the Egyptian human being.
El-Said expressed her pride in being a representative of the government on the Academy’s Board of Trustees, and praised the training programs implemented by the Academy at all levels, which are consistent with the vision of Egypt’s 2030, and supports the Egyptian state's plans in all fields.
On the sidelines of the visit, El-Said met with the trainees of the assistant secretaries’ general program.
El-Said explained that the program is "an unprecedented development experience”.
She added that the Decent Life Program - on the United Nations Platform for International Experiences in Sustainable Development - was chosen as the best program; as it covers all aspects of development.
The program comes within the framework of the cooperation protocol concluded between the National Training Academy and the Ministry of Local Development, targeting general secretaries and assistants in the governorates to train 27 trainees from the two general secretaries from March 28 to next June 3, in addition to 27 trainees from the assistant secretaries-general from March 14 to May 27 this year.
The program aims to develop the trainees' skills in line with the nature of their work, in addition to exploiting and exchanging experiences and holding discussions with senior statesmen to exchange visions and ideas and circulate successful plans and projects to all governorates.
The training content of the program includes some topics, including Effective communication skills, successful team management, self-marketing, leadership skills, emotional and social intelligence in addition to presentation and presentation skills, protocol, etiquette and protocol, media dialogue.
The National Training Academy was established according to Presidential Decree 434 issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in August 2017 to be the core of development and learning in Egypt, the beacon of development and the locomotive of human building and advancement with science and knowledge, at the local, regional and international levels.
