Minister of Planning and Economic Development meets a delegation from the Egyptian Federation of Arab Tribes in Sinai

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, received a delegation from the Egyptian Federation of Arab Tribes in Sinai.
The delegation included Sheikh Hamid Mansour Hamid (Al-Samaana tribe), the head of the federation, Sheikh Abdul Hamid Al-Akhrasi (Al-Akhrasah tribe) who acts as Secretary-General of the Arab Tribes, and Sheikh Odeh Abu Atwa (Al-Bayadiyah tribe).
Dr. Heba Mogheeb, Head of the Ministry's Regional Planning Sector, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said congratulated the people of Sinai and all its tribes on the occasion of National Day. She appreciated the sacrifices made by Sinai's people over the past years.
Dr. Hala El-Said stressed that there is a priority in all development plans that the state is working on to develop the Sinai Peninsula within the framework of a coherent and integrated development program, explaining that these directions come in agreement with the data of the sustainable development strategy within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development indicated that the state is adopting development plans to create a boom in regions and regions that did not receive the appropriate amount of attention in the past, despite the abundance of resources, wealth, and development potential.
Dr. Hala El-Said indicated that the governorates of North and South Sinai invested EGP 17 billion in the fiscal year 2023-22
The proposed plan aims to implement 360 development projects.
For their part, the delegation of the Egyptian Federation of Arab Tribes in Sinai reviewed a number of proposals for development projects aimed at developing the local community on the peninsula, and qualifying Sinai youth through the training programs offered by the Ministry of Planning, in addition to benefiting from the training provided by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the ministry - in various fields, including digital transformation, to create a generation capable of implementing Egypt’s digital projects.
The delegation of the Egyptian Federation of Arab Tribes honored Dr. Hala El-Said with the Shield of the Union for Creativity and Excellence on the occasion of the celebration of Sinai Liberation Day and the role of the Ministry of Planning in supporting development projects in Sinai in recent periods.
