30 March 2023

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development who is also serving as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), and Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education visited on Thursday Madinaty Language School (MLS).

The school is considered one of the distinguished international and national schools developed by TSFE in partnership with the Egypt Education Platform (EEP).

During the tour, Dr. Hala El-Said confirmed that the expansion of investment in the education sector by Egypt's sovereign fund, as well as with development partners from the private sector, is in line with the state's directions and the vision of the political leadership to achieve sustainable development in all fields.

El-Said indicated that the fund aims to expand in the governorates by establishing elementary schools and purchasing existing ones. The Egypt Education Platform aspires to improve and maximize its value.

El-Said said that investing in providing distinguished education at a reasonable cost is the first step in achieving sustainable development and strengthening Egyptian human capital with qualifications that suit the requirements of the times, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved by investing in the education of future generations.

El-Said explained that the Egyptian state aims to develop the Egyptian education sector and make it attractive to local and foreign investments.

El-Said stressed that all state institutions fully coordinate with development partners from the private sector, civil society, and international development partners. This enhances comprehensive and sustainable development efforts.

For his part, Dr. Reda Hegazy asserted that the school represents a model of effective partnership with the private sector in developing the education sector. This in turn has proven to be a significant success in expanding applied technology schools.

Hegazy indicated that the school reflects the high-quality education offered by distinguished national and international schools following the best international standards and at moderate prices, which is intended to be expanded during the next stage within the framework of investment in the education sector as per the vision of the political leadership and the strategic plan adopted by the state to achieve the goals of sustainable development. 2030.

Dr. Reda Hegazy praised this type of school that offers a distinguished educational model that preserves the national identity by studying the Egyptian curriculum per international standards. These schools have won parents' trust and succeeded in a way that matches demand.

The tour included inspecting educational classrooms, technology laboratories, languages, activities, school playgrounds, and reading sessions.

As part of their visit, the two ministers saw a presentation of the educational complex in the global village. This complex was established on 50 acres and includes five schools accommodating 5,000 to 10,000 students.

These schools will teach Egyptian curricula with international features and curricula (American, British, and French), in addition to providing distinguished educational services, and the first 4 schools will be opened in September.

Madinaty Language School (MLS) includes about 2,700 students and covers 50,000 square meters. School development began in 2018 in partnership between TSFE and the Egypt Education Platform – EEP. The school applies a model that aligns with international standards and the Egyptian curriculum.
