Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the CIB GLAM ceremony to deliver the Sustainability Award

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, participated in the celebration of the Women's Initiatives Network of the Commercial International Bank (CIB) for the Sustainability Award, in cooperation with GLAM, the Women Ambassadors Group, delivered the Sustainability Award.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of the Colombian Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Sultan, the Chief Operating Officer of the Commercial International Bank, and several ministers and ambassadors.
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of Mrs. Rawia Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramsco Construction and Building Eco-Village Company, for her role in the field of entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
During her speech, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, thanked the Women's Initiatives Network at CIB for their efforts and the award ceremony.
She also congratulated Mrs. Rawia Mansour for her achievements in empowering women through climate action, stressing that this would create multiplying and tangible effects throughout Egypt.
El-Said added that it is imperative to have the next generation of women's rights defenders and get to know them, adding that women's dedication and energy are really what we need.
El-Said added that the greater the investment in people and their talents, the more likely it is that a lasting impact will be achieved.
El-Said stressed the need to focus on collecting strong data disaggregated by gender on sustainability, explaining that this data will contribute to improving the evaluation of the implementation of national policies and programs in the field of climate action, and the development and planning of risk and disaster reduction policies that respond to gender.
El-Said highlighted the importance of continuing to promote an environment conducive to the economic empowerment of women, and a sustainable, fair, and just environment.
She further asserted the need to ensure that women have equal access to resources and opportunities, that their voices are heard, and that their contributions are recognized and appreciated.
El-Said explained that every day is an opportunity to help one woman and help her gain self-confidence, which means helping all women.
