The  Ministry of Planning and Economic Development began today, the complete transition phase of a number of units and central departments to the ministry’s headquarters in the government neighborhood in the New Administrative Capital marking the start of the official operations from the new headquarters. Meanwhile, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said assured the transition of almost 14 units from the central management departments of the ministry in order to start the official operations from the new headquarters following the directives of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi, and the Prime Minister.


El-Said clarified that the Ministry’s headquarters move to the Governmental Neighborhood is fully equipped for an easy and sustained transition. She also praised the huge efforts deployed by those in charge of providing all technical and security equipment to receive the transferred workers. 


Furthermore, El-Said added that the transition is taking place gradually from the period of March 15th to the 1st of April, as the ministry is among the first group of ministries moving to the new administrative capital.


It is important to note that the General Department of Legal Affairs, General Department of Internal Audit and Governance, Central Department of Strategic Management, Egypt Award for Government Excellence Project, Sustainable Development Unit, Equal Opportunities Unit, Modeling and Forecasting Unit, Programs and Performance Follow-up Unit, Labor Market Policies Unit, Rowad 2030 Project, Rights Unit Human, Investment and Asset Management Unit, Central Administration for Information Systems and Digital Transformation while continuing work at the current headquarters is among the departments and units that moved today. Additionally, the ministry has temporarily provided its employees with transportation to take them to the new headquarters in the New Administrative Capital as it is keen to ease the transition for its staff.
