Khaled Mustafa appointed as the 1st permanent deputy at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development

The Prime Minister issued Decree No. 987 of 2021 appointing Eng. Khaled Mustafa to the position of permanent deputy at the excellent level of employment at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

In this context, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development stressed the importance of using distinguished competencies and experiences, which supports the efficiency of work performance.El-Said pointed out that the permanent deputy, according to the Civil Service Law No. 81 of 2016 and its executive regulations, supervises the development of the ministry’s work plans and programs, develops work plans aimed at increasing work efficiency and rationalizes spending, supervises the development of services provided by the ministry and improves their quality, in addition to supervising the divisions.On his part, Eng. Khalid Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development expressed his thanks and gratitude for this precious confidence in being the first to assume this task in the history of the Ministry of Planning.Mustafa stressed that he looks forward to working with all colleagues and business partners to achieve the best results that support the ambitious vision of the homeland and achieve tangible improvement.Mustafa clarified that the job of the permanent deputy is consistent with the philosophy of sustainability, especially in the event of changes occurring in some officials."The purpose of the job is to achieve institutional stability, continuity, and efficiency of performance in the ministry to ensure that it achieves its objectives and mandates, as responsibilities include overseeing some sectors and supporting units, consolidating institutional excellence, and managing the ministry's strategy."  He explained.Khaled Mostafa has practical experience spanning more than thirty years of successful practice in several key sectors of government, banking and non-banking financial services, telecommunications, automobiles, building materials, pharmaceutical industry, and consumer products covering many countries/continents in Egypt, the Middle East, and the USA.
