Egypt’s NIGSD signs MoU with MBRSG in the field of human capacity development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) to enhance cooperation in the field of human capacity development, research, and studies in governance and government administration sciences.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Sherifa El-Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al-Marri, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, in the presence of Mr. Nabil Fouad, Director General of Business Development and Human Resources at the Institute.
Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif confirmed that in light of Egypt's Vision 2030 and what it represents in terms of the comprehensive development process in Egypt and reforms in various fields, the development of the human factor comes as an integral part of the reform and construction process.
El-Sherif explained that NIGSD seeks to achieve change and adopts a new approach to development and service provision, hoping that it will become a regional center for knowledge and have an effective role in implementing the sustainable development strategy: Egypt’s Vision 2030.
El-Sherif referred to the distinguished and well-established relations between Egypt and the UAE, pointing to the strategic partnership agreement in government modernization between the two countries signed in July 2018, which provides for the formation of an efficient and effective administrative apparatus that in turn contributes to achieving development and responds to citizens.
El-Sherif explained that the memorandum of understanding comes in light of the importance of cooperation between think tanks concerned with governance and public administration affairs, and the importance of the role that the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development plays in developing the administrative system through developing and developing human capabilities and providing training, advisory and research services.
On his part, Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al-Marri said: “The Mohammed bin Rashid College of Governmental Administration works continuously to advance government work within the UAE and the region by presenting international best practices on government administration and public policies, in a manner that meets the aspirations of the countries of the region to achieve all their strategic plans.”
He added, "We are pleased with the partnership with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development in Egypt, and we are fully confident in the desired results that will be achieved. Both the UAE and sisterly Egypt enjoy exceptional relations in all fields and share unified visions for economic and societal development, and this is what will contribute to the success of this partnership."
According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development and the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, the areas of joint bilateral cooperation include developing and implementing specialized training programs, in addition to developing research and studies, publishing and documenting best experiences, practices, and services, and exchanging statistics in the areas of government administration and government. Smart, innovation, and other areas of mutual interest.
The agreement also provides for the cooperation of the two parties in the field of organizing dialogue meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences to exchange ideas and proposals, as well as designing creative and innovative programs, and organizing joint knowledge trips between students of the two parties, in addition to the exchange of trainers and experts to achieve maximum benefit.
