Planning Minister announces the appointment of Ashraf Najm as Managing Director of the National Investment Bank

Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Investment Bank announced the appointment of Ashraf Muhammad Muhammad Ezzat Najm as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the National Investment Bank for one year, following the decision issued by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister.
On her part, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Investment Bank, welcomed the decision and congratulated her Excellency Ashraf Negm on assuming the position, pointing to his eligibility to assume the position.El-Said stressed that the bank is one of the important economic and investment arms of the Egyptian state to implement its plans for economic and social development, which prompted the establishment of a huge infrastructure in all fields, which added enormous production capacities, which contributed to attracting more investments and achieving high growth rates over the past decades.El-Said added that the bank participates in many joint companies in some major economic activities sectors, such as the sectors of fertilizers, petroleum, banks, financial services, food industries, urban development, metallurgical industries, building materials, and tourism, in addition to some Arab institutions.Ashraf Najm served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Authority for the Development of the Suez Canal Corridor and a member of the Investment and Review Committees of the Authority, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Main Development Company and a member of the Investment and Review Committees of the Company.
It is worth noting that Najm has a banking experience of 38 years working in leading banks such as the Egyptian American Bank, Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, the Egyptian British Bank, and S.A.I.B.He also worked in the Treasury, Capital Markets, and External Relations sectors for more than 33 years, and held the position of a member of the Egyptian Association of Financial Market Traders and Treasurer from 2004 to 2016.Negm holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Liberty Maryland, USA, and has also obtained specialized and advanced courses in treasury and money markets from HSBC Hong Kong, England, as well as an effective board member certificate from the Central Bank of Egypt, the Banking Institute in 2016
