Planning Minister chairs the meeting of the Family Development Strategy Committee

Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, chaired a meeting of the Family Development Strategy Committee to discuss the proposed implementation plan for the National Family Development Project (2021-2023), in preparation for the presentation to the Prime Minister.
The meeting witnessed the participation of Mrs. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, and in the presence of Dr. Amira Tawadros, Director of the Demographic Center.
During the meeting, Dr. Amira Tawadros reviewed the elements of the proposed operational plan for the National Project for Family Development (2021-2023) and the latest findings in preparation for presentation to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The proposed plan included the nine targeted governorates in the first year in which the four basic targeting indicators are available, which are the highest in the total fertility rate, the poorest, the highest in the unmet need for family planning methods, and the highest in the birth rate of all regions of Egypt.
The proposals for positive incentives for families targeted by the plan were also discussed, as well as the pillar of economic empowerment of families, which includes financing one million small and micro enterprises, as well as providing training and qualification on project management according to the comparative advantages in each governorate.
