Planning Ministry issues a report on the applicants for the "One Million Entrepreneurs" campaign in the first week

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by the Rowad 2030 project, issued a report on young applicants for the “One Million Entrepreneurs” campaign during the first week, a campaign launched by the ministry to qualify one million entrepreneurs by 2030 within the framework of the sustainable development strategy; Egypt Vision 2030.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, affirmed that the "One Million Entrepreneurs" campaign provides the complete training program through a set of educational videos in the field of entrepreneurship in both Arabic and English on the Internet, provided by a distinguished group of specialized trainers.
El-Said explained that the focus on entrepreneurship within the youth category has become one of the topics that cannot be ignored due to its close link with the issue of economic growth.
El-Said pointed out that the link between education and the economy is close, as education contributes to building the capabilities of manpower and developing their scientific knowledge to form educated manpower that instills positive trends in work, organization, and society, thus contributing to the formation of the basic base for innovation and creativity, pointing to the keenness of developed countries to integrate leadership Business in national educational strategies and initiatives.
The report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development indicated that once the campaign was launched, a large number of Egyptian youth from all over the republic registered in the first week only 8.644 of both sexes, with the percentage of males reaching 69%, and the percentage of females to 31%.
Dr. Ghada Khalil, Director of the Rowad 2030 project, explained that the most interactive training programs within the campaign so far are leadership skills for entrepreneurs with 2813 trainees, the financial management program for startups with 1824 trainees, and the business development program for startups with the participation of 1051 trainees.
On the educational and professional background of the trainees, Khalil said that 10% of the participants are students, 4% are postgraduate studies, and 86% are university graduates, and about 56% of the trainees are currently working.
The director of the Rowad 2030 project added that the reasons for the trainees joining the “One Million Entrepreneurs” campaign so far are multiple. About 42% of them were the reason for their joining to explore the field of entrepreneurship, while 26% of them had an idea and wanted to start a startup, and 18% % Of the trainees joined the reason for joining that he already has a startup and wants to develop his skills, and 14% of the youth joined the campaign because of his desire to overcome some obstacles or how to find out about obtaining financing for his startup.
