Egypt’s NIGSD concludes the training program held under the title "Reliable and Effective Government and Leadership"

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, concluded the training program “Trusted and effective government and leadership” that was held through the three-day zoom feature.
In this context, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of NIGSD, confirmed the role the institute plays as it contributes to the development of human capabilities and provides its training, advisory, and research services intending to disseminate administrative knowledge.
El-Said indicated that the institute is keen to cooperate with the best universities and international institutes in the fields of training to contribute to developing capabilities and enhancing the efficiency of individuals and institutions.
For her part, Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, indicated that the training program comes within the framework of Egypt's 2030 vision.
She explained that NIGSD has taken it upon itself to develop principles of transparency and make good governance policies in the state’s administrative apparatus in the first place.
El-Sherif pointed out that the training program was implemented in light of the memorandum of understanding signed with the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) which includes aspects of cooperation and exchange of experiences, with the use of the Japanese Institute's experience in the field of training, especially in the field of governance and sustainable development
(GRIPS) is distinguished by the existence of specialized degrees in the field of governance.
El-Sherif also thanked the work team from the Japanese side for their cooperation and efforts in implementing the training program.
