Planning Ministry delegation visits Benha University to follow up on 20/2021 projects

A delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development visited Benha University to find out the executive position of the projects listed in the university's plan for 20/2021.
The visit aimed at identifying the most important problems facing the university in implementing projects, and discussing various proposals to solve them. The delegation also inspected the development work of the Reception and Emergency Hospital in Al-Qasr Al-Aini.
In this context, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development emphasized that concern for the health of the Egyptian citizen comes on top of the country's concerns and priorities.
El-Said indicated that the fiscal year 20/2021 plan mainly aimed at improving the citizen's standard of living in the various sectors closely related to the citizen.
El-Said pointed out that the investment plan for the current fiscal year aims to expand government investments directed at human development, which include the health services and education sectors, by 47%.
The visit of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development delegation to Benha University included following up on the site of the first phase of the University Specialized Hospital, and developing the playgrounds of the College of Physical Education.
The delegation’s visit also included a tour of the building of the College of Physical Education, the College of Physiotherapy, and the building of the central laboratories. The visit also included a follow-up of the construction work of Benha University’s stores on the university’s land.
The visit of the ministry’s delegation to the Reception and Emergency Hospital in Al-Qasr al-Aini included the follow-up of the building’s development and re-equipment, as the total estimated cost of the hospital development project is about EGP 410 million.
The cost of the first phase is EGP 320 million, while the second to reach EGP 90 million, with a capacity for the hospital in the two phases, including 135 beds, and the first phase has been completed and is in operation, with the second phase ending next year.
The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development was headed by Mr. Ismail Youssef, Head of the Human and Social Development Sector, and Mr. Badr Othman, Director General of the General Administration of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
