The Rowad 2030 (Entrepreneurs 2030) project of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and the Entrepreneurship Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT), organized recently a training workshop targeting entrepreneurs from people of determination (Real superpower people).
The workshop took place at the Academy’s branch in Aswan Governorate.
The aforementioned workshop took place as part of the GoodWill Incubator, the first incubator for entrepreneurs with (Real superpower people).
During her speech, Dr. Ghada Khalil, Director of the Rowad 2030 Project, reviewed the main activities and objectives of the project.
She noted that one of the main pillars on which the project is working is the focus on business incubators. It also provides a group of experts and specialists at the highest level to help young people develop their emerging projects.
Khalil explained that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has so far established 10 business incubators, in various general and specialized fields, including one in the field of artificial intelligence and another in the field of tourism, in addition to the Egyptian-African incubator as well as the Goodwill incubator and several other incubators that are related to ideas that positively affect economic development.
Regarding the GoodWill incubator, Dr. Ghada Khalil indicated that a cooperation protocol was signed between Rowad 2030 and the Entrepreneurship Center at (AASTMT) to launch the incubator to support and serve people of determination in the field of entrepreneurship and young people who have creative ideas to serve this category.
Khalil explained that this incubator was the first of its kind. She stressed The Rowad 2030’s keenness to launch initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship that include all groups in society.
Khalil said that the training workshop aims to support youth and choose the best projects submitted by them. It also aims to build a network between them and investors and stakeholders. It also lays the foundations for an ecosystem specialized in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation for people with special needs.
At the end of the workshop, entrepreneurs of determination presented their project ideas to the jury. These were numerous and innovative in various sectors such as artificial intelligence, technology, agriculture, and education. This is where the jury announced the 3 most outstanding projects among them.
It is noteworthy that the training workshop is being organized for the second time, as the first edition was held in Cairo Governorate last October, in which the best project won the opportunity to participate in the International Expo for People of Determination held in Dubai last November, in coordination with the Union of Arab Chambers and the UNIDO Office for Investment and Technology Promotion in the two seas.
