Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the activities of WGS 2023

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development headed on Monday to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the activities of the World Government Summit (WGS 2023).

Under the theme of Shaping Future Governments, the World Government Summit 2023 is taking place during the period from 13 to 15 February in Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Hala El-Said’s participation at the aforementioned summit comes as part of the presence of a high-level delegation headed by H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Considering Egypt as the guest of honor for this year's summit, the Egyptian delegation is attending the summit.

Within the activities of the summit, El-Said is scheduled to participate tomorrow in a session entitled "Invest in Egypt, Empowering the Private Sector and the role of the TSFE".

Moreover, El-Said will also participate on Wednesday in another session entitled "Future Governments... Ambition and Vision,".

Similar, Eng. Khaled Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, will also participate on Monday in the "pioneering model of cooperation in exchanging government experiences" session.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning, will participate in a session entitled "Egypt... the world we want."

The World Government Summit 2023’s agenda of the summit aims to shape a better future for humanity, as it will highlight 6 main pillars: accelerating development and governance, the future of societies and health care, exploring new horizons, governance of economic flexibility and communication, designing and sustaining global cities, education and jobs as government priorities.

This year's summit comes with the participation of a group of government leaders, ministers, senior officials, decision-makers, pioneers of ideas, and specialists in financial, economic, and social affairs from different countries of the world.
