Egypt Government Excellence Award completes the preparation and qualification of internal excellence evaluators at Benha and Damietta Universities

Egypt Government Excellence Award held some training sessions to prepare and qualify teams assigned to evaluating internal excellence awards at Benha and Damietta Universities.
The aforementioned session was part of the second phase of implementing the internal excellence system launched by the award in several public universities. This is conducted in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities.
Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and supervisor of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, confirmed the keenness of the award management to provide all necessary technical support to universities and to follow up on the implementation of the stages of the internal awards system by providing guiding evidence.
Developing this culture came within the context of helping to achieve transparency, governance, and integrity at the award stage.
The training workshops dealt with the basic topics and concepts of institutional excellence.
Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of Awards for Educational Institutions at the Award, discussed the factors that were used in determining Egypt's institutional model and Egypt's Vision 2030.
Training workshops included a discussion of future foresight, mechanisms, and steps that government institutions use to develop proactive policies and initiatives based on a correct expectation of the future.
Concerning the evaluation process, the structure of the evaluation teams, evaluation mechanisms, and tools were reviewed. In addition, the institutional evaluation stages include desk evaluation, preparation of a short list of candidates, field visits, and personal interviews. These stages lead to the presentation of the results to the arbitration committee.
