Egypt’s Minister of Planning appoints Saif Saleh as assistant minister for public policies and investment

Said is considered the youngest assistant minister in the Egyptian government

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, issued a decision appointing Saif Saleh, as Assistant Minister of Planning for Public Policies and Investment, for one year, starting this January.
Dr. Hala El-Said said that the decision was within the framework of the ministry's commitment to utilizing youth competencies and implementing what the ministry worked on during previous periods by building their capacities so that they can prepare for leadership positions.
Saif Saleh is the youngest assistant minister in the Egyptian government. He is scheduled to undertake several tasks, including following up on partnership activities with private sector institutions and studying proposals in this field.
The duties and competencies of the Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Public Policies and Investment also include the continuous follow-up of international economic indicators through relevant international reports in preparation for their inclusion in the periodic reports on macroeconomic indicators.
Seif will also follow up on developments and periodic reports related to the implementation of the national program for structural reforms, in coordination with the concerned unit in the ministry, as well as follow up on local and international reports related to the activity of small and medium enterprises and the latest developments related to the realization of this sector in Egypt.
Saif Saleh obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from King's College London.
He previously worked as an economic research analyst for the Middle East and North Africa region at Frontier View Group in London. He has also worked as a policy analyst in the Technical Office of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development since September 2020
