On WEF sidelines in Davos : Egypt’s Planning Minister discusses investment opportunities in renewable energy with Chinese Envision Group CEO

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with Li Chang, CEO of the Chinese Envision Group specializing in renewable energy, on the sidelines of her participation in the activities of the 53rd Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
During the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said reviewed the Egyptian state's efforts to create an environment that attracts investment and to implement many major projects, including the national road network project, and energy sector projects by expanding new and renewable energy production projects.
El-Said referred to the role of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), which is the investment arm of the Egyptian state, and its role in developing renewable energy projects, green hydrogen, and green infrastructure.
El-Said drew attention to the implementation of many projects in various sectors, most notably clean transport, water desalination, and renewable energy. This is because Egypt owns the Benban station, which is the most advanced and largest solar energy project in the world in recent years.
During the meeting, the investment opportunities of the Chinese Envision Group in Egypt in the field of renewable energy during the upcoming periods were discussed
