19 January 2023
The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development - in cooperation with the American University in Cairo (AUC), launched the first and second groups of the training program "Leading Change in Dynamic Organizations" for 60 senior leaders in the state's administrative apparatus, representing about 12 entities.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, said that the training program comes within the framework of NIGSD's keenness to cooperate with the most prestigious training institutions and universities.
It is critical for NIGSD to be involved in training and capacity-building systems that raise the efficiency of workers and enable them to increase their skills and functional capabilities.
Sherif explained that the training program includes, in its two phases, training on some topics, including public policy analysis, strategic management in the government field, leadership, and institutional reform.
Sherif indicated that the same program was implemented in 2019 and 2020, and it is planned that other batches will be implemented in the coming months.
For his part, Mr. Nabil Fouad, General Manager of the Business Development and Human Resources Department at the Institute, said during the opening of the program on behalf of Dr. Sherifa Sherif: The program is being implemented in two phases, the first of which takes place in cooperation with the American University in Cairo over two months, with two training days per week.
In the second phase, NIGSD partners with an international university for a training week that highlights the program's goal to refine the skills of the second-level leaders of the state's administrative apparatus through the institute's distinguished international partnerships and using the latest training methods and methodologies.
