El-Said reviewed Egypt's efforts to advance the agricultural sector, noting that the sector occupies double importance as it represents one of the main pillars of national food security. Moreover, it also forms one of the major pillars of support for the capacity of the national economy. This is because it aims at restructuring the Egyptian economy to diversify the productive structure by focusing on sectors of the real economy, such as agriculture. The two sides also discussed the importance of exchanging expertise and successful experiences in the agricultural sector, which is the mainstay of the economy, especially in light of the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the cessation of imports, and the exacerbation of supply chain challenges, which affected most countries of the world.
