Egypt’s Planning Minister participates in the ceremony announcing the winners of the Arab Government Excellence Award.

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, participated recently in the ceremony announcing the Arab Government Excellence Awards in its second session 2022/21.The ceremony witnessed the presence of Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of The Arab League, His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs who is also acting as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Government ExcellencAward.
Moreover, several ministers, governors, and officials from Egypt and neighboring Arab countries attended.The Arab Government Excellence Award was launched in 2019 in cooperation between the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States and the United Arab Emirates. The award was launched in honor of excellence in the field of administrative development and government at the Arab world level. The award includes 15 categories, including individuals and institutions.It is worth noting that the Suez Canal Authority won from the Arab Republic of Egypt the award for the most outstanding Arab authority and institution during the year 2022. This is in recognition of its efforts in managing many challenges and its success in achieving the highest annual rates during the past year. It also won the award for the most impressive Arab government infrastructure project, the third line of the Cairo metro. Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, also won the award for the most outstanding governor at the level of Arab countries. It is noteworthy that Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, won last year the prestigious Arab Minister Award within the Arab Government Excellence Awards in its first session.
