Planning Minister, TSFE Chairperson discusses co-operation means with LEONI Egypt

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development who is also acting as chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), received recently Dr. Anis Kammoun – LEONI Egypt Country Manager/Managing Director, and Eng. Hisham El-Sabbagh, a member of the Board of Directors of the company and Director of Institutional Communication and Government Relations.
Leoni is one of the leading companies that manufacture electrical braids for cars.
During the meeting, the most critical measures taken by the Egyptian state to achieve economic development were reviewed. This included the program of structural reforms, improving the efficiency of the labor market, and focusing on the sectors of industry, agriculture, and information technology.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development also reviewed the most critical areas of TSFE’s work and the Fund's direction for partnership with the private sector. The goal is to maximize the benefit of available economic opportunities.
El-Said also affirmed the state's tendency to support the private sector as a key partner in the development process and the most significant source of job creation and raising export rates.
For his part, Dr. Anis Kammoun praised the interest and support of the Egyptian state in encouraging the private sector in recent years and stressed that H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to the company's factory as part of his tours in the industrial zone was a motive for increasing investments and the desire of the company's board of directors to increase its investments in Egypt.
Dr. Anis Kammoun also explained that the company is looking forward to working with TSFE to achieve more investments and create more job opportunities in Egypt.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of Mr. Ayman Suleiman, Executive Director of TSFE, and Dr. Naglaa Al-Baily, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Asset Management and Investment.
