Planning Ministry honors Egypt Award for Government Excellence’s 2nd session participants

The award comes within the framework of implementing Egypt Vision 2030 to make a quantum leap in institutional performance: says Hala El-SaidThe Ministry of Planning and Economic Development held a ceremony to honor the coordinators of the Egyptian governorates and universities participating in the Egypt Award for Government Excellence in its second session 2020 under the title (Excellence Ambassadors), in the presence of Eng. Khalid Mostafa, General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence.In this context, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development explained that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence came within the framework of implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030. El-Said stressed the ministry’s keenness to make a qualitative leap in institutional performance through the award to keep pace with developments and develop human capabilities through the presence of a national award for government excellence that popularizes an atmosphere of positive and effective competition and to consolidate the principles and values of excellence in all sectors of the state, which benefits Egypt from progress and development Prosperity and support for institutional competitiveness and teamwork.During his speech at the honoring ceremony; Eng. Khaled Mostafa thanked the coordinators for their effective role during the second session of the Egypt Government Excellence Award 2020, and for their support and efforts that contributed to the success of the work.Mustafa clarified during his speech that the current session of the award faced obstacles and challenges following the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in the development of innovative methods and the adaptation of technological means to achieve the desired goals.Mustafa referred to the prominent role played by the "Ambassadors of Excellence" in the coordination stages of the award, and to the effort made by the award's team of operations, evaluation, communication, and marketing officials, stressing that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence is not merely honoring and obtaining an "award" but rather aims at The basis for spreading and consolidating the culture of excellence at the level of all institutions and individualsEng. Khaled Mustafa also referred to the achievements of the award in its second session, in terms of increasing the number of awards from 15 to 19 awards in service and individual categories, and the creation of new entities, including catering offices, health offices, the best employee award, and the best work team.The General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence pointed out that by the end of this March, the timetable for the next session will be announced, as well as the date of the awarding ceremony for the Egypt Awards for Government Excellence.
