NIGSD, the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, held an intensive training program on "human resources" and another training program entitled "Modern Effective Leadership" for employees of the State Lawsuits Authority.
This came within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the Institute and the Authority in the field of human capacity development.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute of Governance and Sustainable Development, indicated that the intensive human resources program aims to achieve an advanced and comprehensive understanding of modern human resources functions and modern leadership concepts in human resources management.
An effective modern leadership program aims to develop the administrative concepts, skills, and experiences of future executive leaders. It provides them with modern leadership methods and areas of application in the various administrative units. The document emphasizes people's full awareness of their responsibilities for the development of work systems that ensure citizens receive services easily and conveniently.
The most significant pillars of the human resources program are represented in contemporary concepts in human resource management, human resource strategies, preparation of organizational structures, and preparation of job description cards, in addition to the necessary considerations in evaluating performance, setting goals, and performance indicators.
In the framework of effective modern leadership, the training program focuses on the most significant pillars: The difference between the leader and manager; formal and informal leadership; and transformational leadership, as well as the characteristics and personal skills of an effective leader, and the analysis of personality patterns to understand the motives, needs, and different behavioral theories underpinning subordinate behavior.
