Planning Ministry announces who has been accepted into the first groups of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative

The “Be an Ambassador” initiative aims to build national capacities in the field of sustainable development: Says Hala El-Said.
The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced the admissions to the first group of the “Be an Ambassador for Sustainable Development” initiative, "Youth Batch". The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) and the Ministry's training arm contacted those admitted to the group.Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, explained that the “Be an Ambassador” initiative launched by the ministry aims to build national capacities in the field of sustainable development through a series of training courses for various sectors and groups.El-Said added that the first group, which has been identified and communicated with, includes 100 young men and women from different governorates of Egypt, noting that the first batch targets young people from the age of 18 to 35 years who are members of student unions, scouts and graduates working in various fields of sustainable development.On her part, Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, asserted that the institute has sent an email to those accepted in the first group of the “Be an Ambassador” initiative, explaining that the applicants will be contacted in the following groups following the completion of the evaluation process.On the “Be an Ambassador” initiative program, Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif indicated that it is divided into several levels, including the introductory level, in which the trainee studies some practical skills such as self-marketing, negotiation skills, and writing a CV, in addition to how to formulate a presentation, build a team, and the art of public speaking. Follow up that these topics are presented through the educational platform of the institute "Estidama".El-Sherif referred to the specialized level within the program, during which lectures on sustainable development topics and applications in all fields will be broadcast by a group of the most skilled lecturers and practitioners, with students being monitored and committed periodically through interactive tests, to make them ambassadors for sustainable development in their societies.
