Ministry of Planning delegation tours Sharkia Governorate to follow up on the progress of work in the technological centres

A delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development headed by Major General Mohamed Ezzi, General Supervisor of the Localities Development Project, headed to Sharkia Governorate. This comes as part of field trips to follow up the workflow of the technological centres in the governorates.Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said said that the ministry aims to develop the performance of government services, simplifying their procedures, and provide better and faster service to the Egyptian citizens. This falls in line with the transparency and efficiency of government institutions in the sustainable development agenda "Egypt Vision 2030".
She stressed that the Ministry is keen to continue working in the technological centres in all governorates to overcome any obstacles that may their progress. The work also includes the provision of the necessary training for employees in those centres to keep pace with technological changes and to ensure the transition to the automation process without difficulties.
She explained that this comes in line with the ministry's keenness to implement the state's digital transformation strategy. During the delegation’s visit to Sharkia Governorate, a meeting was held with the Deputy Governor, city mayors and system supervisors to present the objectives of the system. The meetings will also review the local portal for municipalities and how to receive requests, in addition to reviewing ways to deal with a serious request for reconciliation to control financial proceeds and monitor total arrears.
A total of 19 centres have been automated across all the cities in the governorate.
Earlier this week, the delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development visited the governorate of Giza and held a meeting with officials of financial and legal affairs in the governorate, the Giza city council and managers of technological centres to start the work of the unified guide and help to standardize fees and documents for all services provided by the governorate.
The delegation also visited the Governorate of Dakahlia, and a meeting was held at the Governorate’s General Office with city heads and supervisors of the system for some 6 cities to introduce the importance of automation.
During the visit, the delegation visited the two cities of Gamasa and Nabaruh to inspect the workflow of the technological centres.
The delegation also visited the city of West Shubra Al-Khaima to find out the level of performance and operation of the centres and discuss the difficulties facing the system’s administrators and to familiarize the system’s supervisors with updates on the program, and the city of Toukh was also visited. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Iman Rayan, Deputy Governor, to hold a meeting with the directors of departments and follow up on the employee trainings.
