Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, held a meeting with representatives of the “Haya Karima” (Decent Life) Foundation for development to discuss several files regarding the Foundation's participation in the implementation of the activities of the Presidential “Decent Life” Initiative.During the meeting, Dr. Jamil Helmy, Assistant Minister of Planning for Follow-up affairs of the Sustainable Development Plan reviewed the electronic follow-up system for the interventions taking place on the ground in the villages of the first phase.Aya Al-Qamari, Executive Director of the (Decent Life) Foundation, reviewed the work carried out by the Foundation during the last period in coordination with the various ministries in some governorates.The results of the research carried out by the Foundation were also reviewed to find out the needs of the villagers during the second phase of the Presidential Initiative “A Decent Life”.During the meeting, El-Said emphasized the importance of the role of civil society and NGOs, while it was achieved in the first phase with the participation of the relevant ministries, headed by the ministries of Social Solidarity and Local Development, due to the capacity of NGOs to communicate with the people of villages and their ability to realistically measure needs.El-Said praised the role that the “Decent Life” Foundation plays and the ideas it proposes through the youth who manage the foundation's files, their continuous follow-up of village development projects, and their constant communication with the villagers in all governorates in implementing decent life interventions.
