The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, headed by Dr. Jamil Helmy, Assistant Minister for Follow-up Affairs of the Sustainable Development Plan, and Mr. Mohamed Farid, Assistant Minister for National Projects, visited Kafr El Maghribi village in Minya Governorate.This is within the framework of the delegation's field tour to the governorate, which continues for the second day in a row, intending to ensure the completion rates and the absence of obstacles in the villages of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life", in addition to ensuring the quality of implementation according to the specified specifications.The visit aims to ensure the operation of completed projects and their entry into service and identifying the vision of citizens on any other required priority projects.Dr. Jamil Helmy pointed out that the village of Kafr al-Maghribi in the center of Adwa, which has a population of 7.700. The number of interventions is 18, including paving roads for 3330 meters, replacing and renewing a bridge, in addition to installing the roofs of 73 houses, installing 171 water connections, 171, as well as extending drinking water networks, establishing a youth center, and installing 615 lighting poles.
Dr. Jamil Helmy pointed out that the cost of the completed projects amounted to EGP 31.5 million, and the target of serving the village with sanitation, with a total cost of all projects, amounting to 63 million pounds.The ministry’s delegation tour included a visit to the village of Sheikh Sons, which has investments of the completed projects amounting to EGP 54.1 million.Recently, the delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development visited the villages of Sheikh Abada, Sheba Island, and Al Amal in Minya Governorate, where the number of interventions in the village of Sheikh Ubada reached 16, and the cost of the completed projects in the village is about EGP 28 million, and the target of serving the village with sanitation, at a total cost for each project reaches about EGP 80 million, and the number of interventions in Sheba Island is 15, at a total cost of about EGP 77 million.It is worth noting that the completed interventions in Minya governorate resulted in two sanitation projects, 3 schools that include 53 classrooms, 1112 lighting poles, 8.7 km of water networks, in addition to paving roads of 4.6 km, 2 youth centers, raising the efficiency of 333 homes, as well as literacy for 53 people, and reaching 2,964 beneficiaries from small enterprise loans.Dr. Jamil Helmy indicated that the quality of life index (the rate of access to basic services in these villages) is targeted to improve on average by 26 percentage points.
