COP27 Highlights:Egypt’s Minister of Planning meets with the UAE Minister of Climate Change to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation.

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, received Ms. UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam Al Mheiri to discuss strengthening ways of cooperation and transferring the Egyptian experience in organizing the current session of the COP27 conference.
This came on the sidelines of the activities of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which Egypt is hosting in Sharm El-Sheikh until November 18, in the presence of several world heads of state, and wide international participation.Dr. Hala El-Said affirmed Egypt's desire to support the sister country of the UAE, regarding its organization of the next session of COP28, to transfer the expertise of the Egyptian experience gained from organizing the current conference.El-Said reviewed the most significant stages of organization and work mechanisms within the conference, as well as the most prominent and influential initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, led by the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, the (Be an Ambassador) initiative, and the Green Minds initiative.Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning, also discussed the Decent Life for Africa initiative, which was launched by Egypt to improve the conditions of citizens in Africa.
El-Said also talked about working on greening the investment plan for government investments and working to reach the percentage of green projects in the plan to 50% of the total projects.For her part, Al Mheiri congratulated Egypt on its success in organizing the 27th edition of the COP Climate Conference and the quality of organization achieved during the conference, and the warm reception of the participating delegations.
