On the sidelines of Cop27:- Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the launch of the 2nd edition of the International Art Forum

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development participated on Monday in the launch of the second edition of the International Art Forum, organized by Randa Fouad, President of the International Fine Art Foundation for Development.
The forum witnessed the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN climate change high-level champion for Egypt and the United Nations Special Envoy for Financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and Dr. Ghada Wali, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The participation of Dr. Hala El-Said came during the activities of the anticipated day of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2022, COP27, which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh from 7-18 November.The summit will witness the presence of some world heads of state, and wide international participation, with the attendance of more than 40,000 people representing about 190 countries, and dozens of international and regional organizations.
During the launch, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the wonderful representation from countries from all over the world certainly shows Egypt's commitment to COP27 to attract global audiences, calling for Egypt to be considered as a global artistic center, a place of experience and inspiration.El-Said added that the Global Forum on Arts for Development breaks the false boundaries between art and development, places culture as an important and effective catalyst for sustainability, and places sustainable development goals at the heart of its message.
El-Said pointed out that Egypt occupied a unique position as a gateway to the large and growing global art market through major art exhibitions, noting what witnessed the recent opening of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
