Egypt’s NIGSD concludes the training activities of the first group with the integrated training program for human resources for employees of the Ministry of Military Production

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, concluded the training activities of the first group of the integrated training program for human resources (intensive) for employees of the Ministry of Military Production, which lasted for 5 consecutive days.Dr. Sherifa El-Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, pointed out the importance of training and capacity building. This is one of the main pillars for the success of any institution. This is done through organizing a scheme aimed at providing workers with skills and capabilities related to the nature of their work.El-Sherif pointed out that the institute trained more than 40,000 trainees in two years. She explained that all the programs offered by the institute take into account gender and the participation of a percentage of people of determination.El-Sherif also explained that the institute offers a set of programs related to women, such as the Women Leaders Program in the Governorates, the African Women Leaders, the Mentoring Program for Women, the Women Leaders in Boards of Directors, and the National Program for Women Leaders in cooperation with the National Council for Women.El-Sherif explained that in preparation for Egypt's hosting of the COP 27 climate conference, some awareness initiatives were launched such as "Climate Ambassadors", "Green Minds" in schools, and the "Become An Ambassador" initiative.El-Sherif emphasized that the goal of the intensive training program for human resources is to achieve an advanced and comprehensive understanding of modern human resources functions and modern leadership concepts for human resources management, while recognizing the importance of integration between the main functions of human resources, in light of Civil Service Law No. 81 of 2016 and its executive regulations.The topics of the training program include Civil Service Law No. 81 of 2016 and its executive regulations, contemporary concepts in human resource management, human resource strategies and preparation of organizational structures, the concept of employment, and job design and analysis.
